Four steps to a working Ubuntu 26.04 LTS install. Each step maps to a detailed article in the sidebar.

1Build a USB stick
Use Etcher or Rufus to flash the 26.04 ISO onto a ≥ 8 GB USB drive.
2Enter BIOS / UEFI
Press F2 / Del / F12 at power-on and move USB to first boot priority.
3Partition the disk
LVM + EFI + Swap is the safe default; pick guided for new disks, manual for dual-boot.
4First boot
Create your user, set timezone and locale, then run sudo apt update immediately.
