Still To Recheck

  • Confirm that the download page, release notes status, and meta-release upgrade prompts all point to the final release.
  • 26.04.1 was released on August 27, 2026 (image kernel 7.0.0-30, Mesa 26.0.8); the automatic upgrade prompt for 24.04 LTS is expected in early September 2026.
  • Server-focused documents still need page-by-page verification for database, Docker/Kubernetes, Nginx/Apache, Samba, OpenStack, and related version details.
  • NVIDIA/AMD AI compute stacks need continued validation against the CUDA, ROCm, PyTorch, and TensorFlow support matrices.

Verification Methods

# Check system version lsb_release -a # Check kernel version uname -r # Check GNOME version gnome-shell --version # Check GCC version gcc --version # Check Python version python3 --version # Check systemd version systemctl --version
